The first floor was designed around a series of tall, open spaces that flow effortlessly from one room to the next while maintaining a strong connection to the outdoors. At the heart of the home, the kitchen, anchored by a generous island, and the family room create a welcoming space for everyday living.

Formal + Informal Living
The first floor is organized around two distinct zones. At the front of the home, the formal living and dining rooms provide dedicated spaces for entertaining, while the rear opens into a generous kitchen and informal family room designed for everyday life. A large central island anchors the kitchen, bringing the family together while creating an easy connection between cooking, dining, and relaxing. This balance gives each space its own identity while maintaining a sense of connection throughout the first floor.

Entertaining on Every Level

The main design goal for this project was to maximize the allowable buildable area of the lot while designing the proposed home at a scale and massing that relates to the surrounding single-family homes of the neighborhood. The design of the house was crafted around the beautiful heritage tree located at the front of the property.
