MARIYA JAMES

Staff Architect

Mariya is a Staff Architect at Axis Architects + Interiors. She is involved in many of the phases of design from schematics to advancing projects though the permit application process and preparing drawings for construction. Prior to joining Axis Architects + Interiors, Mariya had 10 years of experience in architecture where she worked on a diverse range of projects, varying from large commercial life-science projects to smaller scale residential projects with a focus on embassy and historic renovations in the DC area. She studied architecture at the Catholic University of America where she received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture (2008) and a Master of Design Studies in Sustainable Design from Boston Architectural College (2013).
