Axis Architects undertook the renovation of this historic home located in the traditional neighborhood of Logan Circle, Washington, DC. The project involved creating an open concept plan on the first floor, integrating the kitchen with a side patio and backyard to enhance natural light throughout. The second floor was reconfigured to feature three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Additionally, a small third-floor addition was designed to include a fourth bedroom with a bathroom and a living room that connects to a rooftop terrace. Due to the property's historic nature, special attention was given to ensure that the addition remains discreet and not visible from the street.
