Located in Olney, MD, this home holds deep sentimental value for the client, as it is the house where she grew up. Returning to the area, she wanted to preserve its character while making updates and expanding it to better suit her lifestyle as she plans to grow older in the home.
Interior Design
The clients embraced a coastal traditional aesthetic, incorporating blue accents and brass fixtures. The powder room mosaics draw inspiration from the Greek heritage of her spouse, adding a personal touch. A reclaimed beam serves as the fireplace mantle, bringing warmth and character to the space. The overall design is transitional, featuring a palette of off-white and blue tones complemented by natural wood elements. Subtle patterns are woven throughout the home to create a unique and elegant style. Custom-built pieces, including built-ins in the home office, mudroom, and pantry, were designed during the interior design process, along with the vanities in the primary bathroom.
